Experimenting with Aperture + Shutter Speed
I decided to experiment taking images using a Nikon D7000 with this on manual mode in order to be able to change the aperture and shutter speed. Here is a sequence of images I took using a short shutter speed:
A short shutter speed is used in order to capture motion shots as you can see in these images, the model is displayed in mid air whilst jumping. There is no motion blur in the image, however this would appear if a longer shutter speed was us.
I then started to look closely into different apertures alongside with the shutter speed whilst taking images of moving cars. The aim of this was to achieve images that showed motion blur in the background, with the car in the foreground in focus and still so you are able to see the drivers in a frozen position.
These images were taken with the aperture too low, therefor they are too light:
